The Bilston Development Project has been established by New Bilston Limited, a subsidiary of Heantun Housing Association Limited, to deliver a programme of regeneration projects and initiatives in the Bilston area.
The Project secured funding of £1.7 million over 5 years from Advantage West Midlands, Wolverhampton Network Consortium, ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) and Wolverhampton City Council. At the heart of the project is a deep commitment to early community engagement to ensure local people play an important role in the developments and regeneration in their area. By introducing new and exciting training and employment opportunities to Bilston such as construction taster courses, the Prince’s Trust Team Programme, Construction Tradesperson apprenticeships and bespoke business training, the project aims to encourage a sense of "can do" to build the confidence and capacity of those living and working in Bilston.
Already, the Project has a proven track record in delivering key regeneration initiatives in the area. The Project has also been acknowledged for its positive impact on the area.
