Future Jobs Fund

The Future Jobs Fund is a national fund of around £1 billion to support the creation of jobs for long term unemployed young people and to others who face significant disadvantage in the workplace.

The funding is run by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) and The Department for Communities and Local Government (GLC) with input from Job Centre Plus (JCP).

The Future Jobs Fund aims to create 150,000 jobs, primarily aimed at 18-24 year olds who have usually been out of work for nearly a year. Future Jobs Fund is part of the Young Persons Guarantee.

The Future Jobs Fund has enabled the Heantun Group to create new opportunities for young people to develop their careers in housing and regeneration, care, support, teaching, learning and digital inclusion. The jobs created will support young people to improve skills and their future employability.

All Future Jobs Funded posts will help support significant environmental and community benefits.

YOU WILL NEED YOUR JCP ADVISOR TO CONFIRM YOUR ELIGIBILITY FOR A FUTURE JOBS FUND POST BEFORE YOU APPLY.

Please feel free to ring the Training and Worklessness team on 01902 557261 if you want to discuss the jobs on offer or to find out more about the Future Jobs Fund initiative.
